How To Do A Coffee Enema

Approaching this particular biohack can feel super daunting so we’re gonna take this step by step. It’s really simple once you get the hang of it, but just like most things, the first time can come with some trial & error. This guide will troubleshoot most potential errors! Let’s get into it.

STEP ONE — ORDER YOUR SUPPLIES

Order and prep your supplies. Coffee enemas are popular, but you can choose whichever product for the benefits you desire, another popular one is wheatgrass enemas!

  1. Grab your enema coffee. I prefer these two options

    1. Aussie Health Coffee.

    2. Purelife Coffee.

  2. You’ll also need some kind of enema kit.

    1. Aussie Health — Clear silicone bag.

    2. Happy Bum — Clear silicone bag.

  3. If you’re a one-stop-shopper, find your detox bundle here! This includes the kit, coffee, and a coffee plunger.

  4. Lube and butt stuff go hand-in-hand. 🍑 Don’t skimp on the lube with this biohack! What lube you choose is totally personal preference, since you’re dealing with such an intimate part of the body, I recommend using a super high-quality, 100% pure, organic oil.

    1. Coconut oil. This is an antimicrobial oil with a thinner & slipperier consistency.

    2. Castor oil. This oil has many healing properties with a thicker & more grippy consistency.

STEP TWO — PREP YOUR COFFEE

Now that you have your supplies prepped & cleaned, it’s time to get started. Let’s make your coffee!

Don’t overcomplicate this. The good & bad news is, there are many ways to do this step. Choose which preparation method you prefer best! You can":

  • Use a “plunger” french press that comes in the detox bundle.

  • Pour over.

  • Boil water on the stove, add your coffee grounds, and strain it.

IMPORTANT:

  • *Don’t use a standard coffee pot, Keurig, or other coffee machine because they harbor mold and that’s one thing we don’t want up the booty.*

  • ALWAYS use distilled water. ALWAYS. Tap water has so many nasty, invisible particles that it’s safer to use clean, distilled water.

STEP THREE — PREPARE THE ENVIRONMENT

I start each enema with a few supplements that bind the toxins & assist the liver and gallbladder.

  • BioToxin Binder — Binds the loose toxins in the body to remove them safely.

  • Advanced TUDCA — Supports the liver & gallbladder during this detox process.

STEP FOUR — SET UP

  • If you made the coffee beforehand, you’ll need to warm the coffee on the stove. If you just made it, the ideal temperature is around 100-102° when pouring the coffee into the enema bag. This is best because it will cool a degree or two by the time you get set up.

    • To find the temperature, you can test it with a clean finger, if its too hot for your finger it’s too hot for your bum or use a meat thermometer for better accuracy.

  • Put your enema kit together and fully clamp the tube.

  • Pour the coffee into the silicone bag ensuring the clamp is closed or your coffee will soon be sprayed all over.

  • Hang your bag in the bathroom above head level, make sure it’s secure and won’t fall. I use a towel hook, but some use the shower rod. Whatever you find is close to where you’ll be laying and is secure.

  • Grab your enema tube and release the clamp slowly to let out the air at the end of the tube. Do this over the sink or bath tub until the entire hose is filled with coffee and minimal air bubbles. You can let the coffee start to dribble out the tip to ensure the air is being pushed out. If there are remaining air bubbles in the tube, it’s not to worry, this process is just to minimize gassy feelings in your gut during the process.

  • Add Coconut or Castor Oil to the tip. You can even apply some oil to the outer surface of your bum, too!

STEP FIVE — PERFORM

  • Lay down on your left side with knees bent.

  • Very slowly insert the enema tip into your bum until the whole tip is in. Approx. 1-2 inches.

  • Hold the tip secure with one hand and with the other hand, slowly unclamp the tube one notch at a time until you start to feel coffee flowing in. Be sure not to go too fast to start.

    • Feel free to clamp down every 3-7 seconds to give yourself a break and allow the coffee to move up your tract.

  • Repeat until the enema bag is empty.

  • Once the bag is empty, slowly remove the tip.

    • Note that your first few times may have some leakage until you get used to this process. Don’t worry it’s not poop, it’s just coffee that hasn’t had the chance to flow upwards yet. Fully relax and breathe slowly during this step, taking out the tip too fast can be shocking and cause the next step of holding to be more slightly more difficult.

  • Set the tube aside for now.

STEP SIX — HOLD

  • If you feel comfortable, roll onto your back so you can make your way to laying on your right side. Laying on your right is important so it can reach your liver.

  • Set a timer and hold the enema for 7-15 minutes. Your first few enemas may only be a few minutes, but that’s okay!

  • You may find it helpful to straighten your legs up a wall or straighten them while laying down — Personally, when I keep them bent, it feels like I have to release sooner than I do. You’ll find what feels more comfortable the more you do this hack.

  • You might feel the urge to release a few times while you hold it, most of the time it’s gas or air bubbles moving through. However, you know your body the best, go with your intuition on whether to continue holding or get up to release. As you get used to the sensations, you’ll better tell which is gas and time to release.

  • Use this time to meditate, relax, play a game, answer some DM’s, text a friend, binge some Netflix, or whatever is going to keep your mind at ease during this detox time.

STEP SEVEN — RELEASE

  • When it’s time to release, simply stand, sit on the toilet, and relax. You probably won’t need to push anything out, especially the first time, you might have a WHOOSH of stuff come out and that’s normal.

TIPS:

  • If your toilet isn’t very strong, I recommend 2-3 flushes while you release.

  • Have some flushable wipes for after OR rinse off in the shower if you want to feel more fresh.

  • Have your diffuser running in the bathroom with fan. The first handful of times may smell more foul than the rest because you’re releasing old poop that’s been in there for goodness knows how long. 😝

  • If you want to, you can see what’s coming out — You may see parasites, liver flukes, undigested food, etc. This can tell you what you’re detoxing or even something you may need to work on.

STEP EIGHT — POST ENEMA CLEANING & SUPPLEMENTS

UP LEVEL YOUR ENEMA

  • Add wheatgrass to your distilled water for a different type of enema!

  • Use essential oils like dōTERRA Tea Tree, Zendocrine, or Frankincense. I only recommend dōTERRA because of their CPTG process that requires rigorous third party testing that provides extreme transparency and exceptional quality.
